“Tia, my God where did you go yesterday? Aren’t you supposed to be back home earlier like I told you to do so?” Rant Ian as he ran out from his car and approaches Tia who stood surprised upon the sidewalk along the concrete building of her apartment “I…I..” mutters Tia.“I’m waiting?” Marks Ian with a deeply concerned mark in his voice.
“I’m at Caelum Street..” noun Tia grimly.
“You what? You know that’s place is absolutely dangerous..What were you thinking? And what’s the need for you to be there?” Asked Ian, as he took Tia by the hand and pulled her to his car.
“I’m looking for answers..” reply Tia as she hopped inside his vehicle, avoiding his intense gaze upon her.
“You could have tell me..so I may tagged along..” state Ian as he took on the wheels and drive off. “ Luth was so helplessly anxious and worried sick about you.. he called me almost like thirty and fifteen minutes..”
“I’m sorry Ian for troubling you, but you know Luth.. he could be quite a berserk..” utters Tia.
“So, you got your answers there?” Rant Ian.
Tia remains silence for she doesn’t want him to know too much about her current mission…especially about Zander whom Tia had strongly felt, there’s a certain connection between both Zander and Iris.
Ian decides not to pushed and pursue more questions as he continues to drive..
“Thanks for the ride babe..and thanks for the nags..” cried Tia with a gleeful smile, as she stepped out from Ian’s car.
“I’m not done with you yet junior..” noun Ian with a frown. “Today after school, I will wait for you here, right here, so you won’t be fleeing to any strange places ever again..”
“My God you sound like Luth, no..no even better than Luth..” replied Tia as she waved her hand goodbye and quickly rushed up to the stairways which lead her to her classroom.
Ian shoke his head with a faint smile note upon his lips. He too, head along to the other side of the building and headed to the laboratory for his lessons.
Nothing seems to be entering inside Tia’s head during all her periods and lessons much to her despair, as her thoughts keeps on recalling back upon Caelum Street, Iris and Zander..
It was during the English Literature lesson when suddenly Tia realised she had forgotten to scanned and photocopy the missing notes which she had accidentally left on the park bench several weeks ago. Thankfully one of her classmates is kind enough to borrow her notes to Tia therefore Tia could quickly ran to the bookshop to scan and photocopy those notes. Tia had decided to go to the bookshop which was located two blocks away from the college, during their class break time.
Upon reaching the bookshop and as the counter staff was beginning to bind those notes together, suddenly Tia realised she had left her purse inside her school bag which she had place inside the locker.
“Oh damn it..” rant Tia with full annoyance. “I’m sorry miss, I guess I will come back later in the evening to collect those notes.. I’ve forgotten to bring my purse..”
“Are these enough for those stuffs ?” Utters a voice as he placed few dollar notes upon the payment counter.
“More than enough sir..” she replied as she passes the bind worksheets to Tia.
In a swift Tia turn to face him, however he was quick enough to dash out from the store much to Tia’s despair. And then she caught his eyes looking at her, in between the blinders of the store.
“Zander..” utters Tia and without wasting another second, Tia too quickly ran out of the store as she decides to catch up with him. And true enough he was just few feet away from her.
“Zander..” cried Tia. “Hey wait up..”
Zander simply ignores her and continue to walk away from her.
“Zander..come on..can’t we just talk..” marks Tia still pacing quicker to catch up with him.
“I need to ask about Iris..” noun Tia valiantly.
Upon hearing Iris name been noun, Zander stood froze on the spot.
“You do know who’s Iris don’t you?” Asked Tia as she courageously approached Zander and stood right in front of him.
“I know Iris, I know who you are and your elder brother too..” utters Zander as he look straight into her eyes. “And his death, is just the beginning…”
“You son of a bitch..” cried Tia furiously as she hits him hard upon his chest and face. “I knew it..his death has something to do with you ..” rants Tia as she frantically continues to hit him.
“Tia..Listen..just listen” cried Zander as he roughly caught hold of Tia’s hand and pushed them to her back, pulling her along to the right end corner of the building.
“Let go of me…” yelled Tia, however Zander cupped her mouth with his hand causing Tia’s to moan and muffled in between his hands.
Zander pinned Tia against the wall with his body enclosing upon Tia’s body.
“You’ve got to trust me..” state Zander as he look intensely upon Tia’s frantic form. “Yes, I had to admit, I was there when that incident happened..but his death is something which unfortunately can’t be avoidable..”
“You are a monster..” mutters Tia.
“Iris had send me to protect you and Luth, a vow which I’ve made few days before his death..” utters Zander as he slowly loosen his grip upon Tia’s trembling body.
“Protect us against what?” Cried Tia. “Against people like you?”
“Even worst..” replied Zander solemnly. “You will know one day..but for now I guess it’s enough..”
“Tell me, against who? What had Iris been doing all this while..? I really need to know..please..” pleads Tia as she held on to the sleeves of Zander’s shirt.
“Something noble..” noun Zander..
