It was almost quarter to one in the wee morning when finally Luth reaches home. As lightly as he could, he unlocked the front door, praying that Tia will not be awaken by his presence.
After he took off his coat, he hang it upon the coat hanger. Luth intend to had a quick shower however before that he decides to check on Tia. As he enters Tia’s room, he was surprised she’s not in her bed. With a sigh he move along towards Iris’s room, and true enough Tia was sleeping soundly upon Iris’s bed. Tears of sadness and redemption begins to well in his eyes. He stood in between the entrance of Iris room and as silently as he could he crept nearer towards Tia and gently bring up the blanket covering Tia’s body. Luth smile faintly as he looks upon Tia lovingly.
“You’ve grown up too fast kiddo..” whispered Luth.
“Hmm Iris you came back?” Mutters Tia in her sleep.
Luth smile grimly as he switched off the lamp and stepped out from Iris room. “I better get a shower and catch some sleep. I’m praying for tomorrow it will be a better day”
Tia was awaken due to the glimmer rays of warm sun rise which had shone calmly in between the curtains of Iris bedroom window much to Tia’s amazement.
Looking at the face clock which was place and left untouched upon Iris bedside table, it’s almost six in the morning. Tia immediately got up from the bed and headed straight back to her room to shower. The cuts and bruises were still there much to Tia’s dismay, therefore she has decided to put on her long sleeve cardigan and jeans to hide all those fragments form from Luth’s attention.
“Morning Tia..” utters Luth warmly.
Tia smile meekly and said. “ The coffee smells good..”
Luth pour a cup for Tia and next for himself. Tia took a gaze upon her brother, and she realised Luth looked kind of different today, gone were his unkept messed up hair and goatee. His aura of intense cool charisma had simply brings out the charms in him. “I look good am I?” Asked Luth with a grin.
“Thanks to our mum and dad..” utters Tia as she twitch her lips. “They both had good genes, smart, pretty, intelligent..”
“About yesterday, I’m sorry..” said Luth. “You are right.. maybe I should be more attentive towards your needs and your pleas. Such an irony, me trying to safe the youths from those negative traits but here I am neglecting both of you..” marked Luth sadly.
Without hesitation Tia got up from her seat and embrace Luth with so much love and regrets. “ I’m sorry too Luth for always making you feel so worried and I’ve hurt your feelings too many times with my aggression words and attitude..” noun Tia tearfully in between Luth’s arm.
“Hey kiddo…let’s put all those behind us. For now we ought to look upon the bright side. We’ve only got one another ..despite what ever trials and setbacks that bound to hunt us again..we will withstand it all.. I believe Iris wants to see us emerge to be stronger wholly, physically, mentally and spiritually..” state Luth as he gently caresses Tia’s hair.
Tia lightly move herself away from Luth as she nodded her head with an earnest smile of hope, faith and courage cast upon her lovely sweet features.
Both Luth and Tia had their breakfast while chatting away. It seems like it’s been ages, they’ve not been communicating with one another. Tia’s bubbly, warm and humorous personality has indeed strikes the other side of Luth, to be more lively and cheerful, instead of always been passive and discord. Luth soon realised Iris spirit still lives on in Tia. Been close with Tia had simply brings back those amazing days which he had spend his time with Iris. Iris too has always been the jovial one..always see things in certain angle. Not judging by the appearance but he had always think good of others. Sometimes too good which unfortunately might have cause his life.
After both their parents sudden passes due to the tragic car accident, Luth has just started his job as a social worker cum counsellor at one of the local institutions handling troubled teens, youth and children. Iris was almost graduating from the college while Tia was a novice. The struggle and shocking situation which Luth was force to endure has indeed change him. For someone who used to be such a communion person, with a pleasant personality, and suddenly transcend into someone who seems cold and malignant, had indeed deteriorated their siblings relationship. Therefore both Iris and Tia began to get closer but with Luth their bond had arise the drifting form. And it get worsen right after Iris’s death. Luth becomes more loathsome with troubling mind of feeling hopeless and helpless. He’s over powering and over protecting Tia had definitely cause so much friction between them. He just too afraid to let go..
But for now, Luth had made a vow to push all those negative vibes aside for he knew, Iris passes is not a closing door, probably it’s an opening door for him to revamp back those lost years, months and days. Luth knew he had the skill and knowledge of turning someone’s life to be in betterment, and now his priorities is Tia and Uzair.
“I’m off to school now..” marked Tia cheerfully as she took her bag and sling it over her shoulder.
“I can drive you over ..” said Luth.
“Nay, it’s okay I’m good..” replied Tia as she give a quick peck upon Luth’s cheek.
“Please be back home early..or give me a call alright if you need to stay late outside..” remind Luth with a tinge of worrisome note mark in his tone.
“Alright bro..love you..” noun Tia as she walk out from the door.
“I love you more kiddo..” whispered Luth with a smile.
“Morning Maya..” said Luth as he walks in the centre and headed straight to his desk.
“My..my.. just look at you baby..” grin Maya as she looks upon Luth with her mouth gagging wide open.
“Please Maya..” chuckle Luth as he lightly closes her mouth. “So this Uzair, he’s coming?”
“Ahem, suppose to be here in another fifteen minutes..” replied Maya as she passes the full case note on Luth’s desk. Maya who has been Luth’s junior and personal assistant for almost a year, has never give up and lost faith in Luth, for she knew, Luth will ultimately arise back to be one of the best counsellor of the Center. And one thing for sure, Maya do have secret crushes upon Luth… despite she’s been giving the signs and indications of hoping Luth will reciprocate her feelings, however right until the current moment, Luth remains intact with his professionalism etiquettes. Despite Maya feels those rejection, she still remain faithful and respectful upon Luth’s firm integrity.
